Totally Confused is the first track on A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight and Stray Blues, the fifteenth track on Golden Feelings, the twentieth track on Fresh Meat + Old Slabs, and a B-Side of both Beercan and Loser.

This song isn't word-heavy and is simple melody-wise. This song is about Beck being, well, confused. This song has a long history of releases, with the first being the Golden Feelings version. In that version, Beck is singing slowly, but his guitar playing is very fast. The Fresh Meat version is nearly the same as this version, but with an extra verse and being longer. The Harvest Field version a year later is the standout version of the song. Beck brought in some of his friends from That Dog to help him record, with Petra Haden on violin and Anna Waronker on backing guitar and vocals. This version is also the most polished, with little sound effects here and there, such as a beer-popping sound effect after the line "Put me in a suitcase with a can of beer." This version would later appear as B-Sides to Beercan and Loser, and also appear 7 years after its first appearance on the Japan-only compilation album Stray Blues.
